Abel Tasman Coastal Track
The Abel Tasman Coastal Track is a multi-day hike with a number of options. It can be hiked or kayaked and there are plenty of campsites to stay at plus four DOC huts. Booking is essential as this tramp is exceedingly popular. This tramping report visits a number of the smaller campsites along the track.

Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk - Te Urewera National Park
The Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk is a circuit tramp through beautiful beech forest and alongside a stunning lake. With five huts and a number of campsites, the walk can be done in three to five days depending on time allowed. This tramp report describes the route in the less popular clockwise direction, saving the walk along the Panekiri ridge for the last two days.
